Whole-home water filtration for South Florida

A whole-home system is installed at the main water line, where water enters your property. Every tap, shower and appliance then gets treated water, not just the one spot a cooler or an under-sink unit serves.

Acqua Fresca Inc is based in Kendall. We recommend a system for your water, install it at the main line, and our technicians handle the filter and media replacement and maintenance that follow.

What a whole-home system is for

  • One system at the main line treats the water for the whole property.
  • Chlorine taste and odor in the water at every tap, which activated carbon typically addresses.
  • Hard water scale on fixtures and appliances, which a softener or scale-reduction stage typically addresses.
  • Filter and media replacement handled by our technicians, so you do not have to keep track of it.

System types

Whole-home systems are usually built from a few stages, and a property can use one or several. What you need depends on your water test.

Sediment pre-filter

Typically the first stage. It catches sand, silt and similar particles before the water reaches the other stages.

Activated carbon

Typically used for chlorine, taste and odor in tap water.

Water softener or scale reduction

Typically used for hard water scale on fixtures and appliances. South Florida water is commonly described as hard.

UV stage (optional)

An optional stage added after the others for properties that want it. Whether it makes sense depends on your water test.

What each stage typically treats

Sediment filters work on particles. Carbon works on taste and odor from chlorine. A softener or scale-reduction stage works on the minerals behind scale. A UV stage is a separate step that sits at the end of the line.

These are typical roles, not a promise about your water. We base the recommendation on your water test and your property, and we tell you what each stage in your system is there to do.

How installation works

It starts with an assessment: we look at where water enters your property, how the plumbing is laid out and what your water test shows. From there we recommend a set of stages and install the system at the main line.

After the install, our technicians return for filter and media replacement and maintenance. You can start with a call to 786.249.4635 or a message through the contact page.

Who it is for

Whole-home systems are typical in houses, condos and townhomes where the owner can work at the main water line. A small business with a single main line can use one too. If you live in a condo or apartment, check your building rules for work on a water line before our visit.

We serve Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Pair it with reverse osmosis for drinking water

A whole-home system treats the water for the whole property. Many households add an under-sink reverse osmosis system for the water they drink and cook with. You can also read about our general water filtration service or our bottleless water coolers.

Frequently asked questions

What is whole-home water filtration?

A system installed where water enters your property, at the main water line, so the water at every tap, shower and appliance passes through it. It is different from a cooler or an under-sink unit, which treat water at one spot.

Which stages can a whole-home system include?

Typical stages are a sediment pre-filter, activated carbon, a water softener or other scale-reduction stage, and an optional UV stage. Which ones make sense depends on your water test.

Does it replace an under-sink reverse osmosis system?

No. A whole-home system treats the water for the whole property. Many households pair it with an under-sink reverse osmosis system for drinking water. See our reverse osmosis page for that option.

Who maintains the system?

Our technicians handle filter and media replacement and maintenance after the system is installed.

Is it only for houses?

No. Whole-home systems are typical in homes, and a small business with one main water line can use one too.

How much does it cost and how long does installation take?

That depends on your property and the stages you choose. Call 786.249.4635 or send us a message and we will talk it through.
